This year will bring big changes and adjustments for the IBCLCs of The MILC Group. It has been our pleasure to serve our community for 4 years in this venture and for many more years in other ventures.
Ginger Chun has been working much more in the areas of community outreach and social justice in the past year and decided to pursue a Master of Social Work degree! Through this degree she will be even more well equipped to fight for the rights of all people in our community. Her work towards this degree meant that she had to step back quite a bit at the end of 2018 in her work with The MILC Group.
Tina Castellanos has decided to finish her Master's degree after putting it on hold for a several years. She is pursuing a degree in the field of Public Administration in order to work more in the non-profit sector.
Due to these changes in the personal schedules of Ginger and Tina, The MILC Group will no longer be offering the Friday Support Group or the Wednesday Lactation Clinic (formerly Weight Check Wednesday). It has been our pleasure to offer these services to our community while we have been in business.
Tina will be continuing to see a more limited number of lactation clients for home visits. Tina will be able to schedule home visits with some flexibility. If you don't see a time that works for you on her calendar, give her a call!
Thank you all for your understanding. We truly see it as a pleasure to serve the families of our community and appreciate you all welcoming us into your homes and your lives!
